The editing in this book was not as well done as others I've read from this author. I had to really concentrate and reread passages during the first half...lots of convuluted and run-on sentences, too many characters introduced in a just a few pages, etc. The second half seemed to clear up or I got used to it! That said, the story was fun and the historical details interesting.

I love Lynn Kurland books and this one is no exception. This brought some of the previous characters back into the storyline. It makes me want to go back and re-read every one of them.
