Paul Garner is a British television comedy writer and actor. He has written, created and appeared on numerous TV comedy shows.
Paul first started in radio with Chris Morris at GLR in London before their now infamous stint at BBC Radio 1 in the early 1990s. Paul regularly visited UK airports and got the tannoy announcer to read out rude words that were phonetically disguised as foreign passengers names.After hosting his own show at Chiltern Radio in Bedfordshire, Paul moved onto write for many of the shows at Radio 1 including The Mark Tonderai Show and The Breakfast Show.Having written for and appeared on Channel 4's Brass Eye, Paul was recruited as a writer and performer on The 11 O'Clock Show alongside Ricky Gervais, Mackenzie Crook, Sacha Baron-Cohen and Iain Lee.In 2003, Paul wrote and devised The Pilot Show for E4. Paul executive produced a U.S. remake of The Pilot Show, renamed BSTV.Paul wrote and devised the MTV series Strutter starring Paul Kaye. The show ran for two series on MTV UK and in many countries across Europe.
