Before beginning his career in print journalism in 2002, Paul Sheehan worked for ten years as a reporter for television networks including Madison Square Garden Network, and CTV. Prior to that, he served for two years as legislative adviser to the Honourable Perrin Beatty, P.C., Minister of Communications of the Government of Canada.

Sheehan holds a B.A. (Hons) from the University of Sussex.

Paul Sheehan has contributed interview pieces for magazines and newspapers including Vanity Fair, GQ, Vogue, The Times, The Observer, The Guardian, The Daily Mail, The Scotsman, The Sydney Morning Herald, Hello, OK!, Grazia, Paris Match, Hola, and Who.

Among his subjects have been many of the leading stars of film and television: Cate Blanchett, George Clooney, Tom Cruise, Penelope Cruz, Leonardo DiCaprio, Harrison Ford, Tom Hanks, Angelina Jolie, Nicole Kidman, Madonna, Sean Penn, Brad Pitt, Will Smith, Meryl Streep, Charlize Theron and Kate Winslet.

As an editor of The Envelope, the entertainment awards section of the Los Angeles Times, Paul Sheehan leads the way in forecasting early contenders for each of the major awards as well as predicting the eventual winners. He has written extensively on the Academy Awards, the Emmy Awards, the Grammy Awards, and the Tony Awards for various outlets.
