A heartbreaking and yet enthralling book about the beginning of WW2 and the lives that were lost. This follows the lives of two very heroic pilots, Danny and Rafe, who risked their lives, and their hearts for their country. I really loved this book and would be very inclined to read it again.

Anything by Randall Wallace is worth your time. He wrote the screen play for Man in the Iron Mask and also We Were Soldiers. This man amazes me!

Pearl Harbor-December 7, 1941: It was the end of innocense...and the dawn of America's greatest glory.
Rafe McCawley and Danny Walker grew up like brothers in Tennessee. Now they're daring young pilots in the U.S. Army Air Corps. Rafe has fallen in love with Evelyn Steward, a beautiful U.S. Navy nurse. But when the sounds of war begin to rumble on the horizon, Rafe decides he must leave his new love and his best friend to join Europe's fight. Swearing to Evelyn and Danny that he will return, Rafe heads off for the deadly skies above the English Channel. Meanwhile, Evelyn and Danny are transferred to Hawaii's peaceful paradise-Pearl Harbor-unaware of the approach of devastating forces that soon will forever change their lives--and the fate of an entire world. Pearl Harbor is a tale of shocking surprise, catastrophic defeat, heroic victory, and, most of all, overwhelming love.

Good book to read that encompasses Pearl Harbor along with how it impacted lives during that time of war.
