One of the books is more of a novella, so I wasn't as invested in it. The other book is fine, but you can tell it is a bit older as some of the references to the main guy are not what we would say today. He is part Native American and sometimes he is referred to as an "Indian" but most of the time he is referred to as Native American. The story is okay, but like her later books much better
