An interesting fantasy, and a quick read, which features a soldier who wishes to become a scholar and a beautiful, lusty countess who needs help getting her kingdom back. Then there are the good and bad magicians, trolls, ogres, dragons, hidden tunnels, battles, and more. It's everything you could wish for in a fantasy, except for the decidedly different ending.
