Summary: As a mysterious dark cloud drains the life of her beloved brother, Doomsday Brethren leader Bram, Sabelle Rion can think of little else. Still, every time she meets Ice Rykard's intense green gaze, her body aches with need for the sexy warrior. Their attraction is explosive, incredible--and forbidden. As dangerous as he is unpredictable, Ice is her brother's sworn enemy. but as Bram weakens, a more sinister force is gaining power. Evil Mathias and his ruthless Anarki army are on a bloodthirsty hunt for the Doomsday Diary. Sabelle must guard the potent book with her life--and Ice vows to protect the beautiful witch with his. Duty demands that Sabelle deny her lover's fiery call of possession and mate with a man who can sway the magical Council against the impending rebellion. With the fate of magic-kind hanging in the balance, will she forsake the burning desires she can't ignore or turn her back on her people for the courageous man she can't resist?

This third installment of the Doomsday Brethren series was just as satisfying as the previous two. The author left me intrigued by tons of things and asking so many questions, yet I had a sense of completion after I closed the cover. I really enjoyed these two character and them together was a sizzling combination. I hated how much of a jerk Bram becomes in this book and how Mathias seems to be as freaking un-killable as the Terminator. The plot is good and the major battle scenes were pretty cool and super exciting. I can't wait until the next book, its going to be great.

Sabelle and Ice are my second favorite couple. In this book, the story moves along with Mathias attacking several council members homes and driving the Brethren into hiding until they hatch a plan to keep Mathias from a council seat by placing Ice there instead. I really enjoyed Sabelle and Ice's story, their romance is endearing and shows you can overcome just about anything. A few new Brethren are added, not much is known about them yet. But the twins show promise as intriguing characters. And now that i am finally hooked on this series, i can't wait for the next one.

Sabelle and Ice are great characters but I'm getting pretty tired of the machinations of the 'Big Bad' - things keep going from bad to worse for the good guys. I imagine there will be resolution at the end of the series, but I'm getting tired of waiting!

Sabelle Rion is one of the Privileged (Magickind royalty) while Ice is one of the Deprived (lower class). She's expected to marry for political gain not for love. Her sexual interest in Ice has quickly turned to love. What is she to do now? Mate with Ice and be disclaimed or marry elsewhere and be miserable forever? That is Sabelle's big dilemma - love or family loyalty. And because her love-life isn't trouble enough, Mathias is at it again. Now he is brutally killing off council members in an effort to grab a seat himself. What a despicable human being...oh wait, he's not a human at all.

I'm liking this series more and more with every book. The council is truly an amazing bunch of idiots. But know that the Doomsday Brethren have another seat on the council maybe some positive changes can actually occur. I really loved Ice - what a poor tortured soul both mentally and physically. I couldn't help but feel sorry for him and want him to win so bad.

Sabelle Rion and Ice Rykard are like the beauty and the beast until she and Ice must spend some time together. Sabelle Rion is a Privlegded witch with siren blood and is a descendent of Merlin.
Ice is one of the Doomsday Brethern but a Deprived who covets Sabelle from the moment he sees her.
Her brother Bram has still not recovered from the black smoke attack by Mathias, the evil Sorcerer. When the Rion family home is attacked by Mathias's ghouls, all of the Brethren transport to safer places. Sabelle, Ice and an unconscious Bram teleport to one of the council members homes to warn and protect him. They find him and all his people murdered.
Ice begins to pursue Sabelle and finds she is into him also.
To me this is the best book of the series so far. Ice is not the insane brutal man he is thought to be. He is kind and gentle with honor. When Ice kisses Sabelle for the first time, he Calls to her to become his lifemate as he feels the rightness of them. Sabelle is too shocked to answer as her brother Bram expects her to andvance his adgenda with an influential mating.
This couple has the sweetest courtship l have read in a long time.
