Having lost a best friend to a crazy who just started shooting people as they went down the street, I really felt for the people in this story and understood how and why they felt as they did. Violence is a hard thing to wrap your mind around, and even an accident such as Murmur Lee's, can be hard to deal with. I'm going to recommend this book to other people who have had sudden loss as a part of their lives. It is still a great read even if you haven't had that loss.

Part family saga and part murder mystery, Murmur Lee's friends - and the victim herself - set out to find out why and by whose hand Murmur Lee was drowned while on a boat ride.
A great book set in northern Florida about people and how they deal with the death of someone they love. The way it is written is from many different points of view which makes it very interesting and hard to put down
This story chronicles the life and death of Murmur Lee Harp. A 35-year-old woman who owens a bar in Iris Haven, Florida. After her little daughter dies and her husband runs away, Murmer meets the "man of her dreams." Then she mysteriously drowns in the local river.
I read the first half of this book and then lost interest - I just wasn't in the right frame of mind. I skimmed to the end. It's probably a great read for the right person.

I didn't like this one as much as I liked her other books.
