Quinn Bradlee is an American author and filmmaker.He is the author of a memoir entitled Growing Up Learning Disabled and Other Adventures, documenting his efforts to overcome velo-cardio-facial syndrome, a genetically linked syndrome identified by Dr. Robert Shprintzen who Quinn credits with diagnosing and helping him overcome physical symptoms and learning disabilities. He is the son of former Washington Post editor Ben Bradlee and journalist Sally Quinn.
Bradlee helped make a film about Velo-cardio-facial syndrome and the VCFS International Center in Syracuse, New York, which debuted in 2007. He told USA Today he plans to make more films.
Quinn Bradlee was born Josiah Quinn Crowninshield Bradlee (Josiah Bradlee V) in Washington, DC on April 29, 1982 and he is of English, Welsh, Irish, Scottish, Danish, Polish, Swedish, Finnish, German, Dutch, and French descent. Bradlee as his father is, is a member of the Boston Brahmin Crowninshield family of Massachusetts. Quinn graduated from The Gow School, a college prep school for student with learning disabilities, in 2002. He is descended from many notable people in America and Europe; on his mothers side he is directly descended from James IV Stewart, King of Scots who married Margaret Tudor,who became Queen of Scots and whose father was Henry VII Tudor, King of England.
