This is the first book in the Ruby Throne trilogy. I found it to be the best in the trilogy. If you need a book to pass the time, this might fit your bill. I found it to be at times greatly detailed, however these were few and far between. The narrative would spend time detailing one encounter then glossing over some other to get to the next part, it seemed. I wasn't put off by reading it, however I am not inclined to look up any more titles by this author
