"No place is boring, if you've had a good night's sleep and have a pocket full of unexposed film." -- Robert Adams
Franklin Robert Adams (August 31, 1933 — January 4, 1990) was an American science fiction and fantasy writer, formerly a career soldier. He is best known for his "Horseclans" books. He wrote as Robert Adams, an abbreviation of his complete name.
Adams was an author especially of post-catastrophe novels. His Horseclans novels are of this type, with a detailed world-view (many of his Horseclans books are so cross-referenced that they make sense only when read in sequential order).
Adams' style includes a violent, almost non-stop action, meticulous detail for matters historical and military, strong description, and digressions expounding on various topics from a conservative and libertarian viewpoint.
