Think Bruce Willis and you have this fellow tagged! I really enjoy this author, but would personally like to be the proofreader for him! In the middle I would like to cut lots of wordy paragraphs, even though I like the rough and tumble, and tattered hero, fewer words in explantion would help him out!

I discovered Lee Child through Paperback Swap, and I can't get enough of his books. Usually when you read several books by the same author they begin to blend into each other...not Lee Child. The endings are always a suprise. It is hard to put his books down! This book, Running Blind, is the third of his I have read and the best so far.

Never saw the ending coming. Women "drowned" in military-colored green paint with no other indication of cause of death. Reacher is "persuaded" to help find the killer; he also struggles with whether to stay in a relationship with Jodie, the one he truly connected to, or to move on in his oh-so-familiar nomadic ways.

I thought I had this one figured out several times, and was wrong wrong wrong! skillful snarl of details that mislead and puzzle until it all comes together. Brilliantly written with engaging characters and an amazing plot. Totally a page turner.

Every time I read a Jack Reacher novel I think "this one is the best." And they are all fabulous. But, honestly, I think this one is the winner - so far. It kept me guessing all the way through and I never, even remotely, guessed how it would end. I'm absolutely positive you'll love this book.

Book Four in the Jack Reacher series. A bit more cerebral than the three previous, and perhaps more introspective for our hero. My favorite so far. The final twist will make you want to go back and read the whole novel again, just to "see"... (I had to resist the temptation, since I already had the next installment ready and waiting!)

From 2000, this is the third or fourth installment in the gripping Jack Reacher series. Great plot, solid characters, and an amazing twist at the end make this one a true page-turner. I hated to put it down; hated to finish the last page. What a wild ending! Onward to the next one now. Four stars, at least.

I highly recommend Running Blind to mystery/thriller lovers. I AM in the process of reading all the Jack Reacher novels. This book is compelling and well written. I recommend it highly. Lee Child Has a style of writing that keeps you on the edge of your seat looking forward to the next surprising twist.

I love this character! Jack Reacher was in the military and now that he is out he does what he wants, he travels with a fold up toothbrush in his pocket and he can get into some of the strangest situations. Lee Child has created a character that once you start a book you won't be able to put it down, so much happens in these situations.
I love Jack Reacher stories. They keep you turning page after page and not wanting to put it down. I did figure out who the killer was but not real long before it showed up in the story. These stories are always full of surprises.
Just as good as the other Reacher novels
Jack Reacher is a stand up guy even with personal relationships as it turns out. I really like Running Blind even though I fingered the killer early on. Interesting read.

Another super Jack Reacher action thriller. This one has Reacher being entrapped by the FBI to help them solve a crime by a serial killer against women who were sexually harassed while in the military. This one has a good twist at the end but the mysterious method of how the women were killed is somewhat obvious. I've been reading the Reacher books in order and this one did not disappoint! Looking forward to reading number 5 - Echo Burning.

Another brilliant Lee Child book. For those that are familiar with Child, you'll still be in love with his books. For newbies to Child, give him a try. His character Jack Reacher is one that you will want more of in the future.

A good one. Reacher solves a murder case where the murderer was an FBI agent. Good mystery not explained till the very end.

another great Jack Reacher novel. I am really enjoying this series.
Loved it! I'm now a huge Jack Reacher fan. The story line keeps you guessing up until the very end. If I understand correctly Lee Child is British. If so, I'm impressed with the fact he sets his stories in the US with great detail.
I also like the fact that he spends detailed time with the other characters; not too much but just enough to where you get a feel for the characters and how they interact with Jack.
You don't have to read them in order, which is nice because each story is its own, but it's nice to see that steady progression of time over the novels. I'm reading Echo Burning next and I am excited to read what's happening next in the series.
Even though I'm not a huge fan of Tom Cruise, I'll probably still go see the movie, One Shot. Still debating on whether to read the book first.

Jack Reacher is back in the fourth installment in the series. Women are being murdered around the United States that are connected to Reacher through his days in the military PD. Reacher first finds himself being investigated and then becoming the investigator.
Just like all the Reacher novels this one moves at a good pace. There are some very interesting circumstances that make they way the women being murdered a mystery, which for me, kept making me turn the pages.
Reacher also has to come to terms with some of his own personal problems and his relationship with Jodie. Drama and intrigue, making this a great novel. Can't wait to read the next one.

Jack Reacher works out these puzzling murders that leave no trace of evidence because he's so darn intelligent, and strong, and resourceful, and well, really, I have to say that most of these Jack Reacher stories are quite unrealistic, but I'll also say they sure are fun and keep you engaged till the end of the book. One of my favorite Reacher stories in the series so far.
