There are some moments of good humor and satire in this book, but not enough for my taste.

Book 16 in the series, Book 3 in the "Mort Track"
If you read the books it helps to follow the story in a linear fashion
by following the reading guides.

Another Great Pratchett Book: BEWARE!!! Begining this series is Highly Addictive, and has been determined to be habit forming by
Doctor Slime (who is not, or has not been yet known as the former or current Surgeon General of The United States of America, but may some day be appointed to such a position in Discworld.)

Typical Terry Pratchett, slow going at first, but ultimately a fine book. If you're a musician, you'll dig this one.

Pratchett made a world of fantasies the feels like real life. You can see wicthes and drawfs in the store as a matter of fact thing.

Death takes a holiday and his granddaughter is dragooned into service, but she's having trouble accepting that the schedule isn't always fair. Meantime, a wandering young harp player loses his prized instrument and replaces it with a very odd guitar which seems to have its own idea of what music is. Pratchett's take on rock music (i.e. Music With Rocks In) opens the door to what is quite probably the finest collection of puns in the English language.

Loved it, unreservedly. Up to Pterry's usual standard.

With a head full of dreams and a pocketful of lint, Imp the Bard lands in Ankh-Morpork, yearning to become a rock star. Determined to devote his life to music, the unlucky fellow soon finds that all his dreams are coming true. Well almost. It seems that you are not to play music for money unless you are in the guild and to join the guild it costs!!! So joined by Glod Glodsson the dwarf and Lias Bluestone the troll the three men create a band playing music with rocks in it!!!
