Interesting, filled with great pratical experience for both sponsors or person who is dealing with a recovering addict. Sometimes it is hard to know how to deal with a recovering addict as they are different than normal people in some ways. I think the book really sheds light on your role in enforcing the 12 steps of AA and what are some of the things you can expect and what your role can be to help them recover.

I read this book in 2 days and loaned it to my sponsor. We both agree that we have never come across a book like this ever. You will instantly see yourself in some of the sponsors stories and relate to there techniques. This book has reassured me that as a sponsor I don't know everything, and that's okay because I never will. I don't have the anxiety of feeling like I don't know what I'm doing. No one person has been able to give the help of understanding sponsorship like this book has. If you want a great 12 step sponsorship book this is it. This book is a keeper.
