Stan Jones is a writer of mystery and science fiction novels, and is co-author of a non-fiction oral history book.
He has written four books in the Nathan Active mystery series. The books in order are White Sky, Black Ice, Shaman Pass, Frozen Sun, and Village of the Ghost Bears. All except Village of the Ghost Bears are in print; it is scheduled for publication in December 2009.
He is also the co-author (with Sharon Bushell) of The Spill: An oral history of the Exxon Valdez disaster, scheduled for publication in March 2009.
He was born in Anchorage, Alaska, where he lives today, and all of his books to date are set in Alaska.
He is working on a science-fiction crime novel titled Heaven on Earth and set in the near future.
