Warlock Holmes is pretty loony. The title character is pretty much the polar opposite of Sherlock Holmes in everything except possibly his mercurial tendencies.

I bet somewhere the ghost of Sir Arthur Conan Doyle has a picture of G.S. Denning on his wall. He's probably drawn on a gloriously villainous mustache and riddled it with darts.

I did not laugh uproariously as it's back cover suggests. But it was very entertaining. And my smirk got an Olympic level work out

Am I going to read the next one?

You bet (sorry Sir Arthur)

Just finished Warlock Holmes - A Study in Brimstone Author: G.S. Denning,

I picked it up on a whim and loved it. Written in the style of Doyle but with a fresh Holmes you really don't know what he is Alchemist, possessed, Demon? Lestraud is a Vampire, and there is another detective that is an Ogre. The Cases they investigate , Dr Watson is the one using his medical observation skills and Holmes uses whatever power when they need it. Was very well written, and the Characters are engaging. I actually loved this book. If you enjoy Sherlock Holmes and want something with a little twist of paranormal this book is for you.
