The cover of this book (as many true crimes) is somewhat misleading.
This good cop basically came up against bad prosecuters. He became entangled in a huge investigation that began against the medical examiner, and eventually turned toward him. This story, like Serpico, follows his battle to clear himself. Quite detailed, at times tedious, but quite a story!
