Once again Sammi Carter made me laugh. I just love Abby's interaction with the other characters in the book and of course, her dog Max. I figured out again who did the murders about half way through but was still fun reading and seeing if and how Abby figured it out. This is my favorite cozy series and i'm looking forward to the next one!

Book #5 in the series. I so enjoy a light murder mystery and find them relaxing and this is no exception. A quick, fun read that doesn't take itself too seriously. And there are candy recipes in the back. Yum!

Unfortunately, I think this series is getting worse as new books are written. It started out very well, but the last two books just didn't do much for me. This book in particular I really just didn't care about any of the characters or what happened. I started out really liking this series so I hope she gets better!

This is book #5 in the series and I highly enjoyed it but I read on the author's website that unfortunately, her publisher decided not to continue the series, so there wont be a sixth book about Abby, her family and friends....maybe they will change their minds

This is book 5 of the Candy Shop Series.

I accidentally read this book first, thinking it was the first in the series. I am now reading the rest from the beginning, and although the others are good, I feel this one was the most involved.

Abby's candy shop is swamped with Valentines Day orders, but she doesn't care for the whole "Romantic Theme" of the day due to her hurt over the betrayal of her ex husband. She is having a hard time trusting any man, even though she is in a "relationship" with a police officer named Pine Jawarski.

This on deals with some heavy-hitters coming to town to help out with a musical at the local theater. Even though Abby turns down the offer to be in the play because of all her work at the shop, she still can't help sticking her nose into the theater.

While watching the first rehearsal, Abby witnesses some tension between the cast and the musical director, Laurence. She is surprised to find out that the charismatic man who everyone thinks is saint, and is much beloved by the public, is really an overbearing, mean, and self-centered man, who gets into arguments with just about everyone.

When Abby and Vonetta, who is the plays' theaters production manager, find Laurence dead on the stage, and her friend Richie becomes the prime suspect, she just has to get involved.

In this book, Abby and Jawarski's relationship takes a major turn...but I won't ruin it by saying which way....

I liked the book. A nice 'who done it'.

A good quick read. I am disappointed the author decided to drop this pseudonym and discontinue the series. I personally feel one more book should have been written to tie up a couple of loose ends. Who knows, we might be surprised, and that book may be written. One can only hope.
