I didn't love this book. I really didn't care about the characters, in fact, I would constantly have to remind myself who was who. I was glad when I finished it, just so I could start another book. I was disappointed, the title drew me in, but the story was kind of lame.

I started reading this book by this author and i had to stop somewhere by page 42. I was simply not drawn to it and found it extremely boring... don't bother with it.

Not the best book I have ever read, as things aren't really resolved and I also don't need all the little details of someone's sexual exploits.

I picked this book so that I could maybe find ways to communicate better with my 35-year old daughter. Instead, I read about a remarkable mother, and her very interesting daughters. I thoroughly enjoyed the role of Mark, and how he stepped up for his girls. This is a perfect light summer read.

For every mother out there with a daughter, you should so read this book. From the love she feels for each daughter she has, to the relationship with her much younger husband. Brought not only tears of laughter but tears of love and respect for not just my mother but every mother out there. Four daughters with very different personalities, a step-dad that tries to deal with each on her level. Amazing book!

Brit chick lit. Four sisters, all with various drama in their lives, deal with the loss of their mother to cancer. She left them each a letter and her diary (of which they each receive a copy). The book spans the year after her death and, of course, every one lives happily ever after.
