The stories in this collection are a mixed bag. One or two had me chuckling out loud, a couple were clever enough to make me smile, the rest were just boring. I was quite disappointed. I think the author did a pretty fair job writing in the style of some of the world's literary giants, but maybe too good a job. If you don't like Anne Rice when she writes her own stuff, you probably won't like her style even when the setting and characters are those you love. If you are a big ST fan you will probably want to at least read this to say you did. If you are a die-hard fan, you will probably want to add this to your collection for the sake of collecting, not necessarily because it's a great book.
