Troy Dunn is an American businessman, public speaker, radio host, writer, consultant and television personality, who has been described as “a self-made millionaire”.

In 18 years, Dunn has assisted more than 40,000 people to find long-lost relatives, loved ones, etc, including helping his own mother, Katie Dunn, an adoptee herself, to find her own birth mother. This was the impetus for the business he founded, for which he is most well-known, that specialized in helping people to find/reunite other people with whom they had lost contact and could not otherwise find. In 2002 Dunn sold the business to ancestry.com, yet he still actively searches for others.

Troy Dunn is currently a consultant to corporate clients, helping in motivating management teams regarding leadership issues such as overcoming obstacles and team building, as well as "major media manipulation, strategy, and results". As of 2008, he is the star of WE tv's reality series The Locator.
