If you are lost with the end of the Sopranos on HBO then sink your teeth in to this book. It has everything which made the Sopranos a great show and is an excellent replacement to get your mob fix, if you need one. It gives much detail as to how the mob operates and gives a lot of back history especially on the Gambino family. Once you start reading you will not be able to put it down.

In what law enforcement officials described as the American Maia's highest ranking desertion, John Gott's right hand man in the Gambino organized crime family has defected and is expected to be a government witness against Mr. Gotti on charges that he is the nations top Mafia leader. The Gotti confidante,Salvatore Gravano, who was indicted last year as a co-defendent with Mr. Gotti on murder and racketeering charges, has entered the Federal witness Protection Program. The authorities asserted that because of the two men's close ties,Mr. Gravano's testimony could provide a crushing blow to Mr.Gotti, who has been acquitted of lesser charges at three trials in the last five years and has become the No. one target of the FBI.

Sammy the Bull Gravano is the highest ranking member of the Mafia in America ever to defect. Second in command to John Gotti in the nation's most powerful crime family, Gravano's eyewitness testimony sent Gotti, so-called "Teflon Don" to prison.

This is a true story, told by a top man in the mob of his life. It's super chilling because it is true.

This book is a look at the Mafia from one who spent most of his life on the inside and work his way almost to the top of the ladder. Having already been tried and convicted he has absolutely nothing to hide and is completely honest on everything he and others in the Mob did and why. A real eye opener for true crime buffs.

This was an excellent in-depth look inside the Cosa Nostra. I loved it from start to finish!

Sammy the Bull Gravano is the highest ranking member of the Mafia in America ever to defect. Second in command to John Gotti in the nation's most powerful crime family, Gravano's eyewitness testimony sent Gotti, the so-called "Teflon Don," to prison for the rest of his life.

In breaking his blood oath of silence, Sammy the Bull brings us, as never before, into the uppermost inner sanctums of Cosa Nostra as if we were there ourselves--a secret underworld of power, lust greed, betrayal, and deception, with the specter of violent death always waiting in the wings.

This has to be one of my favorite books. It is written in such a manner that the book is hard to put down. Usually some books have parts where you can put it down, but not this one. It is a good insight in the mob, and Gravano and Gotti's life. It doesn't slow down not even for descriptions of murder.
