Just a super book. Full of exciting courtroom action with lots of Rosenfelt's humor. Loved it.

I always enjoy the Andy Carpenter series, even though they are basically the same. I love his dogs, his humor and his wise cracks throughout the book, it's a change of pace and enjoyable.

Andy is an attorney, he does not need to work, he does not want to work, but he always ends up with an important case and dives into it with the love of his life, Laurie who is a part time investigator. Of course, there is big Marcus, a bodyguard friend of Laurie, who grunts instead of speaking and only Laurie understands him, but a better bodyguard you wouldn't want. Of course, if he's on the case, you have to feed him, and that's an undertaking in itself.

Good series, looking forward to the next one.

Well, David Rosenfelt has done it again; the humor rolls off the pages and the story moves at a quick pace. The surprising thing is that Tara (the golden retriever) plays a much smaller part this time; she relinquishes her starring role to Crash (another golden retriever).

This is a very complicated plot; Sam Willis, Andy Carpenters accountant, finds himself knee-deep in a murder trial when he responds to the plea from an old high school chum who asks for his help.

Barry Price is a genius at making money but suddenly needs help from an independent accountant plus the defense attorney skills of Andy Carpenter. Before Sam and Andy can come to his aid, Barry dies in an airplane crash. This seems to set off a chain-reaction of deaths.

Ever reluctant Andy wants to avoid using his lawyer skills but feels compelled to help his friend Sam. I thought the way Andy avoided the conflict of interest problem was clever.

Get ready to step onto the roller coaster ride; careening down the hill -- with a plot gone wild. Unfortunately, I read recently that David Rosenfelt is tired of this series; this isn't one of his best.

11th in the series.

This was an easy read. Mystery kept well hidden.

I enjoyed this story, as I was along for the ride. It is engrossing, has some surprising twists, and is a good page turner. The one thing I'm disappointed with is that the ending seemed a bit rushed. This doesn't usually happen with the Andy Carpenter series. I realized when I only had 10 pages left and there was no resolution at that point, it had to be a rushed ending. And I was right. A bit disappointing, which is why I've deducted a half star from my overall review, but still a good read.

You can't go wrong with Rosenfelt. I am going to miss Andy Carpenter when I get to the end of the series. He never gets old and never ceases to amuse.

In Unleashed, David Rosenfelt is once again at his best. In this latest installment, we find Andy Campbell, attorney extraordinaire, drawn into a new case because his accountant Sam, computer hack extraordinaire, asks him to as a favor to help a friend of his who has recently become a widow. With Laurie, his girlfriend extraordinaire, and Tara, his golden retriever extraordinaire and the usual gang (I especially love Marcus, human [?] extraordinaire) he delves into a homicide that starts leading him into a very murky situation with national consequences. I especially love the humor that Rosenfelt has become known for. I highly recommend this series!
