I'll give this one all 5 stars

I think it is well written, keeps to the storyline without drifting off into other side stories, not much profanity if any which was a nice change, likable characters

I do have a couple of negative remarks: the story is about an FBI profiler that her best friend was abducted 18 years ago and it was never solved and now girls are missing again, ok we got that, but it gets tiresome having it repeated over and over throughout the book, and I think the book is too long by about 50 pages and I say that because about the last 50-75 pages when the story is winding down it just seems to be dragging it out and it wasn't necessary

however, it will keep you guessing all the way through, I had an idea of who 'did it' but it is written well enough that you won't get it until the last 100 pages or so

This is the second book in a series featuring FBI Profiler Evelyn Baine.

Evelyn's best friend was abducted 18 years ago. The only clue the kidnapper left was a note .. a poem .. that seemed to indicate Evelyn was also being taken.

Evelyn has waited all these years to find out what happened to her friend, in fact, it's why she joined the FBI. She is about to get her wish.

After all these years, another young girl has vanished ... leaving a note behind in the form of a nursery rhyme, the same as 18 years ago. Evelyn jumps at the chance to investigate. And when she does, another child is taken.
Using all her exceptional skills, she's crossing out names on her list of suspects. But as her list lessens, the closer to danger she gets.

Books 1 and 2 do not have to be read in order, they each do fine as stand-alones. Good mystery element, lots of suspense. Some romance .. which personally I think there should be a little more of. Some violence, but nothing graphic. Very suspenseful when looking at the suspects.

The third in the series, SEIZED, is out or will be shortly ... and I'm looking forward to reading that one, as well.

This is a very enjoyable read..The characters have some depth and the plot moves right along but the best part is that it keeps you guessing right up to the end..I am looking forward to the next book in this series.
