What a wonderfully creepy story. Love the way that the author managed to get across the feelings of dread that intensified as the story progressed. Also, the coming out theme was handled well I thought. Seeing the parallels between the ghost and the medium were interesting. Especially so when the medium thought he was being outed to his Aunt. I read this story late into the night, then got up early the next day to finish it.
A sweet love story is also present. Nice that it didn't get overpowered by the ghostly aspects of the story. Nothing explicit, so IMO suitable for teens and up. I especially loved the graveyard scenes, though the first one was intense enough it might be scary for younger teens.

Ghost stories are not my usual genre. Received this book as a freebie from the publisher (Lethe Press). So for a free book, surely I can make myself finish it and write a few kind words? Hah, you make it so easy Mr. Berman!
Solid writing, well paced, and interesting. After just a couple pages, there was no forcing myself to read this one! A little goth, teen angst, coming of age, and only a bit scary.
Easy to recommend to readers of all ages (except those offended by alternative lifestyles). Off-hand I don't recall any content that would challenge the YA (Young Adult) rating. Enjoyable for adult readers too!
