Action, adventure, betrayal, divided loyalties, girl power, and all the metal teeth and tentacle/dreadlock/things you could possibly want. I read this while stuck in bed with a broken hip, and it was an ideal escape-- quick read, descriptive, doesn't require too much thought. Apparently this is part of a series; I didn't read any of the others, but if you're at all familiar with the species involved it stands alone pretty easily.
