I highly recommend this book. It has the appeal of a Scottish highlander romance, with the modern conveniences of a contemporary. A win win combination with an exciting (albeit, predictably ansty) ending. A real keeper!

nice story but you really should read the books of the series in order so you can know the background of the characters from the start.

This is the third in the Highlander series and they just keep getting better. I have said this in reviews of the previous two books, but I laughed out loud and cried at times with this book. There is a great storyline with just enough fantasy and magic that it is very entertaining. Janet Chapman has a way of developing these amazing characters that I find I wish I could meet them. I also find myself wanting to visit Maine, which is the setting for all the Highlander books.
You will not be disappointed when you read this series. I just keep coming back for more.

A "feel good" easy book to spend the weekend on. Story about magic, time travel, macho men that are likeable. Wish I could meet them, the author Janet Chapman and the "Highlander series are highly recommended for anyone searching for a sweet escape from reality, with a sense of humor too.

Janet Chapman is a modern day Wizard herself. Time travel, magic, alpha males, with accents ( to us Americans ) and old world ways and ideas but somehow more aware of a modern woman's needs than a modern man. Through in the occasional villain or mystical creature. Romance, hot steamy sex.. And you have the Pine Creek Highlander series.
The only thing wrong with these books is the highlanders get old to fast and the books are to few... I have never devoured a series so fast.
