Very disappointed with this one by Rick Mofina, I have liked most of his work but I thought this one was just a copy of a retold storyline with a little twist that I didn't want to know about. I struggled through the first several chapters and when it hit the intro of Russian connections I shut it and quit. The story is an old story of the kidnapping of a baby to be sold on the black market but this one threw in the twist of the baby being of Russian descent and therefore the Russian family is looking for it along with the FBI and everyone else.
The character of Kate Page didn't grab me either as it is another retold storyline so it was just old hat and oh hum, a mother with a young daughter lost her job and now on trial as an apprentice reporter in order to land the job on a permnament basis--yada yada yada
