As th common Size of the Natives is fomewhat under fit Inches, fo there is an exaft Proportion in al] otker. Anipiais, as well as Plants and Trees: Forln, ftance, the talleft Horfes and Oxen are between four and five Inches in Height, the Sheep au Inch and a half, more or lels; their Geefe about the Bignefs of a Sparrow ; and fo the feveral Gradations downwards, till you come to the fmalleft,, which, to my Sight, were almoft invifible; but Nature hath adapted the Eyes of the Lilliputians to all Objefts proper for their View: They fee with great Exaftnefs, but at no greaf Diftance.
