I love this recipe book. It's one of those cookbooks that are just as much fun to read and the recipes themselves are tried and true. Lots of wisdom, lots of tips. It's a book you'll get the most out of by reading it cover to cover and then picking recipes to try.
This book was written by the parents of Ralph Nader who ran a restaurant in Connecticut.
They say the recipes are for food and thought. "Wisdom and experiences about the rearing of children for self-confidence, independent judgment and caring for others."
"Easy to prepare nutritious and delicious recipes using less expensive foodstuffs which are low in fat and salt and high in fiber and diverse nutrients; and
"A hearty fare of commentary on public and community affairs for a more enjoyable learning environment in the home around the preparation and consumption of food at the dinner table."
An interesting book to be sure.
