Perhaps nobody reads my notebook entries, or even my reviews but the plain truth is I love to write things. Even if I'm just writing a little comment about something I enjoy it tremendously... typing is theraputic for me, and anything I can type down I will.

Writing reviews on books I have read, or movies I have watched has become kind of a hobby for me thanks to PaperBackSwap. And I've come to the conclusion that I only tend to write reviews on books and movies that I love. Only once have I written a review that fell behind 4 stars by self rating of the book! I don't believe I do it on purpose, I just really want people to read great reviews about the books and movies I have loved and adored over the years. I want readers to enjoy every moment I enjoyed... cry in every part I cried... and get attached to the book as I did as an avid reader.

I'm not saying that everyone should be like me, believe me I am happy with there just being one Ericka Bradford (that I know of). I do enjoy hearing about what other people like to read, but since most of the time I don't find it of interest to myself I tend to recommend books like crazy!

And I have also come to the conclusion (which my mother has been telling me about for a while now) that I really only tend to collect books from a select few series (or from the same authors). Dear America, Series of Unfortunate Events, Nancy Drew, Chronicles of Narnia, Tolkien books, Lois Lenski books, James Herriot books, with the exception of single books such as Christy, The Horse Whisperer, Jane Eyrie, Broken Trail, etc.

But I can't wait to continue to write reviews, with the hope that they are helpful to some people (because I know chances are everyone won't like my reviews). And I also hope that at least one of my reviews gives a child the same adventures I have always enjoyed so they too can experience wonderful emotions and fun through reading.

I have recently been getting books I've requested through the mail, and ohhh it's so much fun knowing something's going to be there for you when you check it!
Yesterday I got another Dear America book, Diary of a Coal Miners Bride. And the day before (I believe) I got the book Across the Wide and Lonesome Prairie.
This site is so much fun, but with me being in college and everything it definitely boggles the mind. I've already sent off at least 6 books, and two were sent to the same place. I just hope that people continue to request my books so I can continue to request books.

I'm so disapointed at the shortage of these books on the PaperBackSwap web site! But it must be because of how great they are to read. I was so excited the other day when a book from my wish list had been posted, but slightly upset when they never replied to my sent request of wanting the book. I feel as though if you have spent the time to post these books you own on the website you need to take the time to finish what you've started by following up with requests. It makes you look better as a registered user, and the requester good as well by choosing a good user to request from. So please, if you are into posting books for others to request, send your books promptly! Although I can't say to much as I have an iPhone so I can check my e-mail on the go :D
