I hate to disagree with the other reviewers and usually I like Handeland but this book didn't do anything for me. I suffered through the second in the series and wish I had passed on this one, I almost quit numerous times. I'm going to pass on any other in this series.....that said, the heroine is still angst filled, loving Jimmy but still having sex with most comers, specifically Sawyer...sorry for the pun. The story is scattered but at the same time the plot doesn't move far forward, really this could have been a short story if you take out some of the hate/love Jimmy angst. My suggestion, use your credits don't waste your money.

Michaelis was a professor; Strang a soldier of fortune. They had nothing in common except the desire to clear their names...and a trail of death behind them.. Everyone they talked to was being killed and they knew someone had them in their sights.

Athens herself, beautiful, intelligent, young, is the person they have to talk to, but she can't trust anyone. She's at the center of an international hunt for the secret her father discovered, a power source she refuses to reveal to anyone.

Even if she lives long enough to talk...
