I picked this up at my High School library when the librarians told me about it. They often suggested books to me. Eragon was the first fantasy book I've read, that didn't contain a bunch of romance in it. I thought it was great and then learned he was so young when he wrote it.

In the past few days I've been reading reviews on how Paolini plagiarized. I've never seen most of the things mentioned but I think this is close to Cassandra Clare's deal.

I picked up The Hollow Kingdom from my library, it was one of the firsts to my many YA reads. This is the only book I've ever read about goblins. I really hope more authors will write about them. I've only had the LOTR goblins, from the movie, to fall back on. Although I didn't even pay attention to that movie and fell asleep halfway through it all the time....

Marak, the goblin king, I tend to see him handsome even though Clare has said he and the other goblins, except Seylin, resemble LOTR goblins in skin texture, etc.

I just really loved this book! The characters were easily loved. I hoped after the third book Clare might go on and do more stories involving the goblin world. I have not yet found any books resembling this.

The marriage ritual, Charm, and the talking door were very interesting, the painting buckets also. If I keep writing what I liked about this book I'd just be telling you the whole story! It's a must read!

Understanding Computers: Today and Tomorrow, 11th Edition, Comprehensive
Review Date: 7/25/2009
Helpful Score: 1

"Understanding Computers: Today and Tomorrow gives a classic, well-rounded introduction to computer concepts with a modern twist! Known for its readability and breadth of topics covered, this book will ensure that you have the comprehensive, current knowledge of computer concepts and issues needed to succeed in our technocentric society. This Enhanced Edition contains a comprehensive chapter-by-chapter update section on the latest information on computer products, trends, and issues, as well as a special "Microsoft Vista and You" feature for an up-close look at Microsoft's new operating system."

Had to use this book for one of my Veterinary Technician classes. I'm pretty good with a computer and half of it I already knew. The other half wasn't much interesting, IMO. I'm sure people could learn a great deal from this book if they really need to learn about everything involving computers.

I read this when I was in middle school and thought it was great. Since then I've been trying to find and what do ya know? My friend brought it up and I was so excited to finally know the title again. Great read for anyone.
