I quite enjoyed this book. The heroine's drive to not get close to her husband was rather annoying after awhile but it comes to light why in the end, though I wish it wouldn't have taken so long for her to realize. Other than that, the hero was great and I enjoyed all the other couples' stories that were in the book. I don't think it detracted at all from the main story.

I'm not sure if this is the first or second in a set, but THE PERFECT SEDUCTION is Isabel's sister's story. They can be read separate of each other, which is nice since I don't know which comes first. I recommend both books. Both are wonderful. One thing I wasn't too fond of in this book was that there was no epilogue. I was hoping that the two books would be better tied and that we knew more of the H/H. It seemed to end rather abruptly for me. Besides that, I truly recommend this. The heroine was tough and new that there was no point in whining and complaining, so was brave and did what needed to be done. Great characters.

This is one of my favorite Christmas books. I have to read it at least once during the holiday season. It's about the leader of this mouse gang who decides to live in Macy's during the winter. It's so great that he brings his gang to live with him. The in-store Santa Clause finds out they live there and befriends them. But when Santa goes missing and the police have no promising leads, it's up to Marvin and his gang to find Santa. I absolutely recommend this book to anyone.

This book was so fun. Picked it up and couldn't put it down. Many times throughout the book, I found myself laughing out loud. Tyra, Viking Princess Warrior needs Adam, a Saxon healer to come help her father. She kidnaps him and they come to an agreement that he'll help her father for one night with her in his bed. From Britain to the Norselands to the Byzantine empire, this book is fun, sexy and amusing. Great primary characters and fun secondary ones. You needn't have read the previous books to get this one. Is a good stand alone if you want it to be. Highly recommend this one.

I did not like this book. The first half was lovely, wonderful even. The hero and heroine's fight over the house kept me interested.

SPOILERS:

I got half way through and found out that she had been forced into prostitution and then after two years of retirement from it, the man that forced her into it is forcing her hand to come back.

I hated the plot twist so much that even though I tried to finish the book I could not stomach it. I wish that once she had found out about her hand being forced, that she would have told the hero about how she got into it and how she was being forced back in. He could have helped her right away and saved the book for me.

I had such high hopes for this book. All the reviews I read said nothing about this twist or I wouldn't have started to read it. I usually love Mary Balogh's books, but I found one that I can't stand.

I truly tried to enjoy this book, but I wasn't able to finish it. I was able to figure some things out too easily at first. Then the sudden attraction between the hero and heroine just didn't seem convincing to me. The story was slow and it just didn't grab me. When a book grabs me, I'll finish it in a day. So when about half way through this book it wasn't catching my attention, I decided to go to another book.

This was an all right book till about half way through then I started to find myself skimming pages. The beginning had the theft and the injury. The Hero disliked that the Heroine robbed him and they had a nice bantering going on, then all of a sudden they're having sex...yea. The mystery seemed interesting at first but started to drag and I just couldn't get past the loyalties of the village vs the aristocratic politics and such. And then there just wasn't much spark between the H and H. I'd give it 3 stars.

I'm not sure if this is the first or second in a set, but THE BRIDE HUNT is Kathryn's sister's story. They can be read separate of each other, which is nice since I don't know which comes first. I recommend both books. Both are wonderful. I was hoping that the two books would be better tied together and that the sisters finally find out about each other, but I guess it leaves us to think of their happily ever after. It's a great book. The heroine is tough and willing to learn new things. Highly recommend.

The beginning of this book was fascinating and I couldn't put it down till about half way through. Then for some reason, it started to drag. I found myself skimming pages and just getting the jist of the book. I couldn't put my finger on what turned my attentions, just that they were. It could have been my mood at the time, but the plot seemed to lag quite a bit after they'd been on the run for a while. And his attractions and attentions to the lady waiting for him and not on the heroine was not a plus to the book. He didn't realize he liked the heroine till almost the end of the book which is not why I enjoy romances. I enjoy the courtships and the friendships that are in so many other books I decided not to waste more time on this one.

I enjoyed this book. I kept thinking throughout how I thought the plot was going to proceed, but the author had different ideas. I was surprised to find that this book actually had a small paranormal side to it, but it didn't detract from the plot and was, I thought, done tastefully. And from me that's something since I'm not one for paranormal or time travel romances. I was a little disappointed that the heroine gave in so fast to the Laird after she had tried to continue her journey and then she kept thinking of leaving and was very undecided until it was too late. The plot had a small mystery that in my opinion wasn't really resolved all that well, but the ending was sweet nonetheless.

This is a keeper by far. When a book can make you laugh, cry, and sigh throughout and then when you put it down, makes you cry with joy you just have to keep it. I highly recommend this book. I pray there won't be room on some keeper shelves so there will be more in circulation.

This was a wonderful book. I haven't read the first two books in this trilogy, but this book stood alone very well. I couldn't put it down. My only regret was that the end seemed really abrupt. Everything resolved so fast, I was left with a sense of "That's it?" But even with that, this is a must read. Different type of plot/situation in a historical romance and this author pulled it off famously.

Wow. This book was simply wonderful. It's one of those books that when you put it down, you're smiling like crazy and can't stop. The back of the book is misleading to say the least. Much of what's said on the back is out of place and what it implies happens in the book doesn't happen the way they make it sound. It's so much better. Definitely don't judge this book by the back cover. I loved conversations throughout the book and the heroine's aunt and her friends were absolutely brilliant. I'm glad both hero and heroine figured out they loved each other shortly after meeting instead of hemming and hawing about it throughout the whole book. The misunderstanding was dealt with amazingly and with a lovely twist. I read it in less than a day. I couldn't put it down.
