A nice fantasy offering from Cherryh. Not as involved her other harder sci-fi novels, but still very enjoyable.

A good read about a post-apocalyptic world. Even my non-sci-fi husband really enjoyed this one.

The King of California: J. G. Boswell and the Making of a Secret American Empire
Review Date: 12/15/2017

I'm not a big fan of non-fiction, but this book was very interesting and well written. It told a story of a family, a time, and the land and it was a compelling page turner. I always pictured the San Joaquin Valley as this pristine garden....to discover the reality is something else. I would recommend this to anyone interested in farming, California, politics, or just life during this time period. Seriously, this read like a fictional story!
