I enjoy books with strong women and this one rates high. The story flows and was a quick read because I didn't want to set it down. Gena Showalter is one of my favorite authors and hasn't failed to open my imagination with her books. I love her "What If" books because her charters and stories make me think "what if". They are that alive.

I guess I was used to Keri Arthur's females being strong. O M Gosh Nikki (the main person) whines!! I have the whole series and I'm hoping she does some serious growing up before the next book.

The story starts off very slow. I almost put it down but decided to keep going. The story picks up as the plot becomes more visible. The carry through was a little rough as I still had questions at the end. It was a good story.

I loved it and had a hard time putting it down. The characters are everyday people put in situations that could make you laugh or fighting mad at the bad guys. Life is tough but Emma made the best she could while hanging on for dear life. I have always loved male characters that are tough but have heart and understanding. Janet Chapman produces stories with people you can identify with. Her stories are always lively, full of warmth and laughter.

This was my first Harlan Coben book. I found the characters alive and true to life. The plots, for there is more than one, believable and carried through to conclusions. There is a lot of back and forth with the plots at first but he pulls them together nicely by the end.
