A very different kind of story but also very interesting. It is a good study of two characters that share a tragedy in their past.

The Death of a President is very interesting and informative. There is a lot of "behind the scenes" stories which make it all the more real. Mr. Manchester was approached by Jaqueline Kennedy to write a true book about what happened in Dallas and he had the support of the Kennedy family. Unfortunally my copy of the book had about 10-15 pages that were totally unreadable. It was evidently a printing process error. I have a hardcopy and the problem begins on page 527and continues through page 559. I would like to find a paperback copy so I could read those pages.

If you like Charles Todd's series about Inspector Rutledge you will like Bess Crawford too! Set in WWI it follows Nurse Crawford as she solves mysteries and tends to the wounded.

A look into the early years of the life of the powerful crusader of women's rights. This fiction based on fact story shows how Elizabeth Cady became such a strong willed young lady when women were expected to stay at home and tend to the family and how she met her soul-mate Henry Stanton who was a crusader for abolition.

Riveting, engrossing and truly wonderful story! I loved the characters and didn't want the book to read. Maybe someday Louise Erdrich will write a sequel.
