An ok read. Story had many characters and was at times hard to figure out who was doing what. It was a good story and gave a lot of detail.

Absolutely loved this book. Kept my attention. It gives alot of insight into the Chinese culture. Felt very sorry for the little girl in this book and can sympathize with her totally.

This book gives the history of polygamy through out the first half of the book. It's tough reading and very dry. I gave up. I wanted to know about the story line and the people involved in the murder but couldn't stand it long enough to get to the point where the story of their lives even began. If you're looking for interesting reading on the subject of polygamy, skip this one unless you want the nitty gritty, teeny tiny details doled out and dragged out for over half the book.
