I loved this book. It had a wonderful story to it. I had my mother-in-law read it too and she liked it very much. This is about a little girl looking for a safe place aways from an abusive father and looking for what happened to her mother. Along the way she takes a slave woman that her father owned with her to keep her out of danger as well. Wonderfully written!
