I highly recommend this book if you have any interest in historical fiction. I found the tale to be a fairly accurate and interesting description of a soldier's life in Ancient Mesopotamia. It isn't just a war novel either, so don't get stuck in that mindframe. There is also a very intriguing love story going on througout the narration. Be prepared for some graphic content though!

While I agree that this book lacks movement until the last few chapters, don't let that completely deter you. It is still a good read and worth picking up if you get the chance.

Not the best YA paranormal romance book I have read. The story develops and moves quickly, but it is not written so that you feel a connection to the characters and the storyline is mediocre. Most of the relationships aren't explained in-depth, which leaves you wondering about the development of events prior to the events currently happening in the book.
