Max Lucado is one of the best authors of non-fiction. He has a way of bring characters of the Bible into todays setting to give the reader a better understanding on the way it was back then. A great read

A great read, I really enjoyed this book. Annie from Texas inherited her Grandmothers house in Maine, Grey Gables. She finds a cross-stitch canvas in a frame of a young lady in the attic, and with the help of the Hook and Needle Club, tries to find out who the lady is. Join Annie and her new friends as they unravel the mystery of The Lady in the Attic.

Out of all the Mrs. Jeffries mysteries that I read this one is the best by far. Mrs. Jeffries and her belowstairs cohorts try to save an innocent man from the gallows, with not must time to do it in. In the end Inspector Witherspoon stands up to Inspector Nivens, what fun.

I really enjoyed this book. It is well written. It got very exciting at the end where you could not put the book down until the even end. It is one of those mystery where you thought you knew who did it but at the end you were wrong.

This is one of the best books I have ever read. A wonderful story of a young man who will inherit the ultimate gift from his great uncle by learning 12 lessons (one a month).
