The first two books were pretty repetitive. Guy and girl, one doesn't like the other, but somehow they end up together and solve a crime after girl is in peril. In the end boy marries girl.
The 3rd book in this series was a tad bit different but the formula was pretty much the same.
All in all I still did enjoy reading them.

This is the first Lisa Jackson book I've read and I want to read more! I've recently gotten into the mystery genre and this book didn't disappoint. I had no clue who the killer was until the very end. I love that!

Personally, I like Anita Blake because she's a kick-ass heroine. The only thing I don't like about her is her prudishness (is that a word? LOL) and she can be so stubborn and pigheaded. Even though I don't like those things about her, she's still an exciting character. I've read several series (Kim Harrison, Charlaine Harris, etc), but this one is my all time favorite.

I read this book for my book club. I enjoy reading paranormal books more, but this book intrigued me. I was surprised by the some of the negative reviews. I read to be entertained and that's what this book did.

I have read almost all of this author's book and so far this one has been my favorite. In her other books I haven't been too surprised at who the killer was. But this one totally took me by surprise! Loved it and can't wait to read more of her books!

I have found another favorite author! I'm all into the whole supernatural genre and read all that I can. I first read an anthology by MaryJanice Davidson and was hooked. Her stories have it all: vamps, weres, sex, violence and laugh out loud moments. I thoroughly enjoyed this book and look forward to the entire series. Queen Betsy is a hoot!!
