I'm an Anita Blake fan from book one. This was a very short read (158 pages) in comparison to other books in the Anita Blake series. It was an enjoyable read, reminding me of the early books in the series when they seemed to be more plot based. I found the troop of preternatural characters popping up like whack-a-moles (after book seven) could become overwhelming. I was very happy to see Anita shine brilliantly once again as necromancer extraordinaire, albeit only the one time in this story.

It begins with three ordinary women and their separate, unexpected discoveries of a lover's guidebook by Miss Matilda, the impish tutor of snag-a-man sexual decorum circa 1949. All three ladies originally scoff at the hopelessly outdated, ridiculous etiquette manual. But soon they find themselves leafing through its pages for some timeless, explicit, and very frank advice.

I thoroughly enjoyed the book by Janice Maynard. Following the journey of Miss Matilda's etiquette manual through three stories provides a unique perspective and story line. The erotic heat is just enough without going over the top. I give it all 5 stars.

We are introduce to the character, Ben Badwin, in the book, "Too Much Temptation" by Lori Foster. Ben likes his women sexy, wild, and uninhibited. Nothing at all like the brash, dirt-covered, wholesomely cute woman who just strutted into his diner. Sierra Murphy's independent attitude makes Ben fantasies run wild. He'd love to dazzle her with his prized sensual skills...to make her want him as badly as he suddenly wants her...Sierra doesn't want a man in her life right now. Her life is just starting to turn around in her favor. But the more she keeps her distance, the more Ben wants her. To get Ben out of her system she invites him to spend one night only. But is one night enough?

Lori Foster does it again. Grab a glass of wine, a comfy chair and you'll be set!
