Masterful horror by a great writer. This will turn around what you think of as a vampire novel.

Very cool book -- biopunk in the vein of Paul di Filippo's Ribofunk or Wil McCarthy's Bloom. The book ends kind of abruptly, good thing there's a sequel. Nice to see some non caucasian protagonists, with reasonable projection of what street gang life could be like in 50 years.

An absolute must for travelers to Machu Picchu. Unlike many other countries' famous ruins, there are very few interpretive signs throughout the park. With this, you can probably avoid paying for a tour guide. Note that the order of the tour is a little out of date - they have changed many paths to one-way, meaning that if you want to visit a few of the places on the tour, you need to make a second circuit.

A wonderfully silly book. Marxist robots, getting drunk on lubricant, and a human hopefully trying to cope... sounds like Futurama? You bet. Somebody's owed some royalties.

This third book in the Necroscope series takes the horror to a new level -- that of the Vampire's own world of darkness. If you like over-the-top horror with vampires that aren't depressed with their own existence, this is the book for you.

Probably one of the more readable books by Barker, it avoids some of his usualy gore and "power comes from pain" themes and provides a terrific fantasy tale.
