This book was recommended through a blog I greatly enjoy and respect. When I began reading it, I realized I was already lost. Stephenson uses a vocabulary and language (yes, it's English -- evolved) that my brain just couldn't wrap itself around. I may be too "last century".

Following Atticus: Forty-eight High Peaks, One Little Dog, and an Extraordinary Friendship
Review Date: 11/19/2016

Following Atticus is heartwarming and empowering. I rarely write book reviews, but this book calls for the exception.
Tom Ryan shares his own changes and challenges and how Atticus helped him as he helped Atticus. He removes the separation between "human" and "animal/pet". We're all on this beautiful world together, and together we explore and grow.
I recommend this book highly!

a wonderfully imaginative, gripping, and fun fantasy/historical science ficton! Novik's creation of dragons as part of the Napoleonic Wars is inspired ... again and again and again. Delighted to know that Peter Jackson has the movie rights to this series. It's be awesome!

A light read and definitely a NOVEL!! About 2/3's of the way through, I began to get tired of this Catherine's inability to stand up for herself. Don't take Erickson's portrayal of Catherine Parr as real. The real Catherine Parr was a very strong, plain woman who had little romance in her life. Which doesn't make for much of a story. If you're looking for a romance novel in an historical setting -- this can be a fun book. If you are looking for accurate historical information, look elsewhere.

Mid-Course Correction: Toward a Sustainable Enterprise: The Interface Model
Review Date: 5/28/2012

Ray Anderson found himself at a turning point. He could no longer participate in an economy that used and used and used. This is the marvelous story of how a smart business man turned an energy and resource intensive business into a sustainable business. It's as useful and valid today as it was when it was published in 1998!

Portals and Corridors: A Guide to Hyperspace Travel
Review Date: 6/13/2012

The images and stories of these other beings make them approachable and understandable. The variety of forms and experiences is mind opening. This book helps bring home that we share this universe with other beings who are both like and unlike us, all of us sharing Consciousness and unconsciousness.
