I started this book on a busy weekend and had it finished before the weekend ended because I kept turning pages. From the first page to the last, my attention was captive. Then I let my mother-in-law read it, and she finished in less than a day, because she couldn't put it down, either.

When Luke Davis returns to his home town, he plans to get the girl who broke his heart out of his mind forever. Instead he is caught up in a contest in which he is the prize. His cousins think a wife will help him forget Rachel Hamilton, so they invite 5 mail-order brides to come and marry their cousin. Surely they won't all come. They are right, only 3 arrive in town, each demanding that Luke marry her. And, what of Rachel? With the help of her tomboy daughter, she enters the contest to win Luke's heart - anonymously! Get the book and find out if she succeeds. If you can't get it on PaperBackSwap, since I'm not giving up my copy yet, you won't regret purchasing your own book. It's well worth the small cost.

Phillip Keller is best-known as the gifted naturalist and writer who gave us A Shepherd Looks at Psalm 23. His deep love and knowledge of nature eloquently reveal the Creator in his creation.

In As a Tree Grows, Keller enriches our understanding of Spiritual growth by comparing parallel principles of natural growth in the life of a tree with supernatural truth in the life of a believer. As a Tree Grows is a bright and moving source of inspiration and instruction for anyone who wants to become more like Jesus Christ.

Xan Harrington wanted a man who'd love her for herself rather than her fortune. Fate had brought her to the Bad River. Or, more accurately, she had thrown a dart at her map of the U.S.A. and where it had landed she had followed: the Badlands were as good a place as any to find a husband.

She figured that she'd know on sight the man she wanted to spend the rest of her life with; so she'd placed an advertisement in the local paper - Bad Man Wanted For A Husband! - And Judd Coltrain had walked into her life. With his deep, sexy drawl and rugged good looks, Xan knew she'd found the perfect man to be the father of her children. But was Judd the simple rancher he seemed? Or would Xan live to regret the day she became a Bad man's bride?

Review Date: 5/6/2007

Really, Deric didn't mean to steal the neighbor's kitten. After all, he'd always fancied himself more of a dog man. It's just that, when he saw the wet, shivering creature in the backyard next door, he felt a little sorry for it. But life would never be the same for Deric, and his wife, Aileen, now that they had Thermal, the scrappy, furry bundle of curiosity so named after the Refrigerator Incident, involving several hours behind closed fridge doors, a package of cold cuts, and...well, Thermal was well and truly dubbed The Cat Who Came in from the Cold.
