I'm not really sure how to describe this book of poems. Well, first I'll start with the cover, I actually quite like the art on the cover, it's whimsical and harsh at the same time. It also states its point quite clearly. As for the poems themselves, most of them I enjoyed, however the overlying theme was quite obviously Bush is evil and the cause of everything wrong with our country, I might be exaggerating a bit but the sad thing is I'm not exaggerating by much. I personally am not a fan of Bush, however I don't believe he's quite as evil as this book makes him out to be. The biggest problem I had with this book however may seem trivial to some, but I was quite disturbed by it. There was a drawing on the back of Bush and stamped across his face was a return to sender message, which is fine with me, but what really bothered me was underneath it. There was a little message stating "Male is usually bad", It was a double entendre joke, however I don't appreciate the humor. I personally believe that men and women should be treated as equals and this kind of ultra feminism is conducive to gender discrimination and counter productive to a race of equal human beings. This book of political poems may be somewhat extreme by my standards, however I still enjoyed it and would recommend it to others.

First of all let me say as far as yaoi manga is concerned Yuzuha Ougi has probably one of the most attractive art forms, her men are hot, ripped and beauuutiful! This particular manga may not have the most in depth storyline, but it's not bad, and let's face it if you're looking for an amazing story go read a book. If you want to drool over sexy bishies going at it this is the manga for you! >.

The Claiming of Sleeping Beauty (Erotic Adventures of Sleeping Beauty)
Review Date: 5/15/2013

Personally, I've read much more shocking material than this and am surprised there are so many people who are disturbed by semi hard bdsm and a little anal male on male play(if this shocks you wait for the bestiality scenes in books 2 and 3). I found the next two in the series more stimulating, however this one was decent. The only complaint I have is that I would have preferred more scenes from the sadistic dominating point of view than the masochistic conquered. Also theres some good Bi play scenes, but it kinda makes me wish for more.

As an atheist myself, coming from a fundamentalist background, this really hit home for me. Altogether an excellent read with some well written arguments against the encroachment of religious nonsense on the realm of reason and fact. Definitely a must read for anyone interested in the preservation of reason and sanity.

Quite an interesting dissection of modern man and his self created concrete prison. Even though this is quite dated, Mr. Morris has many fascinating observations and interesting viewpoints on man and the world around us that are still relevant today. I have to say I particularly enjoy his sense of detachment, if there is one thing I can't stand in a nonfiction author, its personal bias. With behavioral studies especially being a somewhat loose science, it's wonderful to have a clinical perspective, and even though this book is composed mainly of his own personal theories and thoughts it's presented logically with no ego attached.

Spoiler Alert!
Altogether I thought this book was interesting for a paperback romance, but I have to say I was deeply disturbed by the whole collar thing. To me rape is bad enough, but not only was the poor man being raped, he was brainwashed into apparently enjoying what would normally repulse him. I went into this book expecting a light romance with a little bit of a quirk, instead I came away with the nauseating image of the main male lead being repeatedly tortured and assaulted, though the author thankfully had the good sense to just hint at what happened to the man instead of giving all the gory details, well I guess that's better than how it usually plays out in these style of novels with the women being repeatedly raped since as we all know it's not nearly as traumatic for a man to be raped as it is for a woman....hopefully you realized I was being sarcastic. : /

I have to say I'm not really a fan of this mangaka, besides Hey class president and a few other one shots of hers most of her mangas are not that great. I especially disliked a one shot of hers about a boy and his friend raping his brother, I'm usually not uptight about rape in a manga, but that story was depressingly pointless. Anyway, this particular series of one shots was decent, worth a read or two, but nothing really worth remembering past the last page. This is the kind of manga that you keep, because it's so bland and so easily forgotten you can reread it and its like you've never read it before. P.S. I think I recognize her art from something in yurihime wildrose, and I have to say her art fits hot lesbian action over yaoi any day of the week.
