I originally read this book in middle school and didn't remember much of it. It is a pleasant and quick read that reminded me of how real the nuclear threat of the late 50s and early 60s was.

Steven Coonts' books are detailed enough to enjoy listening to without being so detailed you get lost. I listened to this during my commute and am glad that I stuck with it through the slow middle part. If you are familiar with the characters, it's always fun to hear how the reader/performer voices them. I highly recommend this to anyone with many hours on their hands.

I really enjoyed this book as it contained many nuggets of wisdom that I unfortunately had to figure out for myself. A good read for everyone.

After listening to his reading of his first book (Kitchen Confidential), I was excited to read this one. I wasn't disappointed either. Very enjoyable. A good book to read when you don't have large chunks of time to devote as it is broken up into smaller stories.

As an aspiring foodie, I loved this book. Her experiences made me laugh and think twice about the reasons I like certain restaurants.
