While cozy mysteries aren't my standard reading material, I do occasionally find them interesting enough. This book goes beyond that, I couldn't put it down - unless it was to crochet. The story is fun, the characters are well developed and the crochet is well integrated.
The book includes a pattern and recipe - I haven't yet worked up the pattern but it is easy to read and follow.
This book definitely put me in the mind set to crochet, I was able to crank out a hat while alternating with reading. When reading I would feel the need to crochet and while crocheting I would long to be reading.
I would recommend this book to everyone, but especially if you love to crochet or like the cozy mysteries.
I am anxious to read the author's other books.

I have turned to this book often for answers. It provides solutions for talking to your employer, setting up time and a location to nurse/ pump for your child.
I loved the information on how to reconnect with your baby after work, ways to keep your connection strong.
There were times when reading the book that I felt like it spent too much time on the difficulties of working, nursing and having a close relationship with your baby - but it is hard, and this book has many solutions to that. The book/ author seems to assume/ take the stance that working mothers are all go getter that are extremely dedicated to their job, so it's a little off putting, but it can be ignored.

This book has a great rhythm and sound when you read it out loud. My daughter loves the book and asked me to read it repeatedly.
The message is very positive, the parents in the book are proud when Hannah uses the potty and supportive when she has an accident.
We've practiced Elimination Communication (EC) with our daughter, at least part time, so I'm not crazy about the part of the book that talks about diapers being where pee and poop go morning, noon and night - but I'm not sure I would find a potty book for children that covers EC.
Out of all the potty books for children this is our favorite.
