I have been reading this series out of order as my library has some and I am waiting for the rest to come in the mail after buying them. I liked the story, it was dark but not oppressive. Two things I would change-the sex scenes, and mentioning the heroine, Skyal's boots so often. The sex scenes just....weren't hot to me. And Skyla's boots are discussed often and I got tired of it.

this book started out interesting, with a peak at the couple from devil in winter, one of my favorite books. then to be the write tried to hard to make the heroine 'different' with her interest in feminism etc. TO be they were more like siblings than a couple in love.

Interview with the Vampire: Claudia's Story (Vampire Chronicles)
Review Date: 7/19/2015
Helpful Score: 1

There is nothing in this book that wasn't in the original Interview. In fact, if you didn't read the original, or see the movie, there are several parts in this book that will be confusing. I also didn't like the pictures. I think that if you are an avid collector of all things Anne Rice, this book is for you. Otherwise you might be better off taking it from the library as I did.

I was scared this book was going to read like it was for high schoolers, but if I hadn't been told I wouldn't have guessed this was labeled 'young adult'. While I would've liked to have a little bit more of Kathryn's life before the king explained, and known who Margaret Poole is, rest of this book was great. The author has Kathryn's voice perfectly, the visuals of her clothes, her fear of the ghost of her cousin Anne Boleyn, all great. I highly recommend this book to adults as long as you have some understanding of Tudor history as this book really dosen't explain much of that.

I had trouble finishing this book. While the topic is interesting, many times the author is way too descriptive, or has 'info dumps' over things that don't matter like nicknames etc.

I have to say that while I liked the story, I was dissapointed that the brothers had no reunion together. The whole series is about the brothers being seperated, and yet there is no closure about it. Other than that I liked the book.

I have to say that the heroine and hero bothered me in this story. The heroine gets upset when the hero takes too long to return to her side after took on 3 demons all on his own. And the hero acts way younger than a several hundred years old hero. I also felt there was a lot of info dumping that never really gets explained. It's not horrible, however you really should read the books in order to understand all the back-history, at least in my opinion.

While I liked the book, I wish the sex scenes were steamier. I also would have liked if the heroine had stood up for herself either with her back stabbing friend, or the guy she had been in love with.

I really wanted to like this book. For once it is the woman in love with a man whose heart belongs to another as oppossed to vica versa. However, it takes the vast majority of the book before the hero even begins to love the woman in return. It took so long that I thought he wanted to be with her because she was already his wife and it was easier for him.

I wanted to like this book. The cover alone was awesome. For me, there was too many pop culture references, and the love scenes were stale. I liked the serious scenes of the hero and heroine talking about their families etc and would have like more focus instead of 'funny' quips or whatever.

If you have read Christine Feehan, many of the same writing 'ticks' are here. One example is, 'swinging her over his shoulder' which I am fairly certain is in several of her other books. The story line is interesting, but I found her writing style and sex scenes uninteresting.

This book is very seductive. You realize after you finished it that the story line is not too in depth, but while you are reading it you don't care because it is very well written.

I was really looking forward to this book. Lily is the sister we hear about in the previous books but don't see too much of. There was very little payback to the evil girlfriend, and very little reason why she was evil, the sex scenes were ok, and the chemistry between the hero and heroine were ok. It's an ok book, I thought stealing rose. I feel like the author went for the erotic aspect of the series, and didn't spend too much time on character development.

**possible spoilers**
This book had two things I hate in a romance novel. The heroine has amnesia, and the main couple bicker. Despite that, I liked this the best out of the trilogy. It is the only one I am debating keeping. There are several scenes I liked and in the end I was won over.

The Way It's Never Been Done Before : My Friendship with Marlon Brando
Review Date: 9/18/2012

I truly don't recommend this book. The author seems to be jealous of Marlon Brando and to hate him for no reason. When Marlon had to testify at his sons' trial, the author admits to not being there. This dosen't stop him from judging him. He calls the 'performance' marlon gave at the trial not up to par or something along those lines, that he wasn't at his best, and that he was trying to charm the judge. Like this is a shock. As if a parent wouldn't be on his best game when at a childs' trial due to any number of factors including fear that their son is going to jail. Sorry to rant but this book disgusted me and the author should be ashamed of judging his 'friend' like this.

I really liked the beginning of this book. The details where great, and the story interesting. Then it just kind of drifted off, there where too many characters to keep track of. There was also a 'betrayel' that I thought was obvious and not that big of a betrayel that ended the story. It felt like the ending was rushed, so I can't recommend the book.
